I've been practicing yoga for 10 years and I've earned my yoga alliance certification, which consists of over 200 hours of teacher training. I became certified in several areas including prenatal, seniors, kids, yoga strength, yoga anatomy, etc.
I have fibromyalgia. I decided to do yoga, hoping it would improve my pain. It did! The first couple of times I came to a class, I could not use my hands. Then each class it was better. I decided the best way to motivate myself, would be to teach. I still live with a great deal of pain on a daily basis. However, yoga enables me to move my body again, to use my hands again, and to be able to have some energy to get through the day. If you live with fibromyalgia, you can work through the pain!
